Conscience Found Poem

Invisible Activities

Invisible activities define us
Invisible activities stay protected
Avoiding judgments
Independently trying to fit into the norm
Fit in with a community
With unwritten rules
Silently understood by the community
Individuals
Possessing invisible activities
Judging one another based on exposed activities
Based on things they choose to show the world
Moments of differences divide us
“Different” is dismissed
It’s met with shock
Different is Thwarted
Based on rules,           beliefs,            an unwritten baseline of what makes a person enough
Enough to fit in the group
Into the community
We can’t let the fear of showing our invisible activities become our identity
Our curiosity should bring us closer
Listening to others fears
Others Beliefs, and others invisible activities
Pushes us into a larger world of understanding
